Archives and Special Collections Relocation Notice
The Archives and Special Collections has moved to the University Center! As of October 20, in-person research appointments, special collections visits, and class visits are being scheduled through the end of this year. Digitization services have also resumed.
Directions to the Research Room
The Archives is on the 7th Floor of the University Center building at 63 Fifth Avenue, between East 13th and 14th Streets. We are now located within the University Center Library. All external visitors are required to schedule advance appointments and check in at the security guards’ desk in the lobby upon arrival. The security guard will direct you to the elevator bank that stops at the 6th Floor, where you will find the University Center Library entrance.
From the library circulation desk, proceed down the hall past the scanners and computers, turn right at the end, and go up the stairs. The Research Room is the glass room opposite the top of the staircase. The door is labeled Archives and Special Collections.
If you have any access requirements, such as requiring wheelchair accessibility, please let us know in advance so we can make the appropriate accommodations. For other questions, email us at archivist@newschool.edu.
