About
The New School Archives and Special Collections is part of the university’s Libraries, Collections & Academic Services unit. We serve the entire New School community, as well as the general public, regardless of academic status or affiliation.
Originally established in the mid-1990s as the Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Archives Center to document Parsons School of Design and design history, the Archives expanded in 2012 to include other divisions of The New School. In 2015, the transfer of historical records and manuscripts from Mannes School of Music completed the representation of the entire university in The New School Archives and Special Collections.
